BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — Montana State Billings men's basketball coach Jamie Stevens has announced the signing of Sam Johnson, a wing who played the past two seasons at Casper College in Wyoming.

Casper College posted a 47-17 record over two seasons and advanced to the championship game of the Region IX tournament this winter.

Johnson averaged six points and four rebounds per game and recorded 22 blocked shots in two seasons with the Thunderbirds.

He played his prep basketball at Legacy High School in Las Vegas, leaving as the team's all-time leading scorer, rebounder and shot blocker.
