The Mineral County Sheriff’s Office has requested help from the Montana Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation to help discern the cause of two deaths near Superior.

Just before noon on Wednesday morning, Mineral County deputies were called out to a rural residence to investigate a dead body discovered by a neighbor. The neighbor was asked to check-in on the residence by an out-of-state relative that had not been able to contact the deceased.

When deputies arrived they found another dead body in the residence.

Both bodies were being autopsied at the Forensic Science Division laboratory in Missoula on Thursday, May 29.
