The National Unemployment numbers for February  were recently released and the country average was around Eight Point Three Percent, but Montana is doing a lot better. Unemployment numbers are down for the state of Montana for a seventh straight month. Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Industry, Keith Kelly spoke with KGVO News about the numbers.

Signs of economic recovery are driven by an uptick in consumer spending. However, the trend of unemployment in the Western part of the state is not nearly as rosy as the job market in the state’s eastern half.
