Montana Signs 6′ 6” Forward Spencer Coleman

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Montana men’s basketball coach Wayne Tinkle has announced the signing of Spencer Coleman of Eugene, Ore.

Coleman transfers to Montana from Eastern Arizona College and will be a junior next season.

Coleman averaged 15.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game and made 56 3-pointers in earning junior college All-America honors. He averaged 18 points a game as a freshman.

Tinkle says Coleman is a very skilled player who can play several positions, has good size and good athleticism and is a good 3-point shooter.

Tinkle says Coleman’s signing on Monday wraps up his recruiting for the 2012-13 team.

Montana posted a 25-7 record during the 2011-12 season, winning the Big Sky Conference regular season and tournament titles and advancing to the NCAA tournament.
