Gas prices in Montana rose again this past week hitting average of about two dollars a gallon according to gasbuddy.com petroleum analyst Patrick DeHaan.

Cut: " It has slipped down a few tenths of a penny since midnight, it stands at about one ninety nine and six tenths, far under last year, when prices averaged three dollars and 12 cents."

Idaho, Montana and Wyoming are the last remaining two dollar a gallon states.

Cut: Well generally they lag the national average, as we've talked about, and still remaining relatively low, they also have access to cheap canadian crude oil and uh really, I would say some of the most reliable refineries in the country, in the rockies, that is uh not a whole lot of issues that arise."

Even with the increase, Montana prices are still about 30 cents cheaper than the national average.
