Montana Gas Prices Still Rising, End of Climb in Sight

At $3.34 per gallon, Montana’s average gas prices are up again this week. They have been climbing for over three weeks now, but hope for motorists could be on the horizon.
“Prices in Montana have increased four cents per gallon here in the last week following the trend of other Rocky Mountain states as they’re playing a bit of catch-up to the national average,” said Gas Buddy Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan on Monday March 11. “But I do expect that perhaps over the next week or two we might see prices in Montana level off or continue to slow down. Prices today remain actually about nine cents under what they were a year ago”

The national price is also about nine cents below what it was last year and has been trending downward for over a week now. Montana typically trails national fuel trends by about two weeks.
