Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks to Hold Open House, Open to the Public Meeting July 9-10

Montana Fish and Wildlife Commissioners are holding an open house in Missoula on Wednesday, July 9 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks office, followed by the commission's regular monthly meeting on July 10. FWP public information officer Vivica Crowser said these meetings are open to the public, and will be held at the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks office at 3201 Spurgin Road in Missoula (map):

"Our Fish and Wildlife Commission is holding their regular monthly meeting in Missoula this month, and what they're doing the evening before that meeting is holding an open house at the Fish, Wildlife and Parks office," Crowser said. "It's really just an informal gathering to ask questions, submit some thoughts on numerous topics, and just visit casually for a few hours."

Crowser said the public is invited to stop by the open house anytime between 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Aside from the open house, the FWP meetings are open to discussion on a variety of topics such as setting trapping quotas and the final season setting on wolf hunting season.

"That commission agenda is packed with lots of items that are of interest to folks," Crowser said. "Everything from the final season setting on the wolf hunting and trapping seasons, to looking at some conservation easements, some of them close to us here in western Montana, one in the Bitterroot Valley. So there's lots of items that are big issues statewide, and then anything else fish, wildlife or recreation related you might want to visit with staff or commissioners about."

This meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. at FWP's Region 2 Headquarters.
