There are no Chick-Fil-A locations in Montana, but on Saturday,  September 8th that will change . . . for one day at least. Chick-Fil-A is teaming up with the Montana Family Foundation to bring Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day 2.0 to Billings.

The original Chick-Fil-A appreciation day came about after COO Dan Cathy faced a wave of criticism from politicians and activists for remarks he made in an interview on the Ken Coleman Show about homosexual marriage.

“I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say ‘we know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage’ and I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about” - Dan Cathy

The Montana Family Foundation's values are closely aligned with Cathy's. In its mission statement, The Montana Family Foundation declares that "The family is defined as people who are related by blood, marriage or adoption and should be founded on a life-long marriage of one man and one woman, which creates the best environment in which to raise children." The President of the Montana Family Foundation, Jeff Laszloffy says that Cathy's views align closely with those of Montanans in general.

“A majority of the citizens of Montana share the same conservative values as Dan Cathy and solidified them as the law in 2004 when Montana voted to amend its Constitution to define marriage as being exclusively between one man and one woman in this state.” -Jeff Laszloffy

Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day 2.o will occur on Saturday, August 8th at 328 S. Shiloh Road in Billings. The event will have a drive thru complete with the Chick-Fil-A cow mascot set up between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. There will be chicken, coleslaw and cookies available for the first 1,000 attendees with a suggested $20 donation to the Montana Family Foundation.
