Pancreatic cancer survivor Ray Goeres of Missoula is heading to Washington, D. C. this Sunday to represent the state of Montana before Congress on behalf of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Goeres will be meeting with the Montana Congressional delegation and other representatives to encourage more research funding into pancreatic cancer.

Goeres underwent cancer surgery in 2007, followed by several months of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Goeres says his quality of life now is as good as its ever been, and he is extremely grateful for every day since he became cancer free. Goeres was with Wagner's Home Furnishing for many years, and is now retired.
