The Poverello Center recently cleared another hurdle in its quest to claim funds awarded to it by a Economic Development Initiative Special Project grant back in 2009. The recent environmental survey conducted by the city of Missoula found that there would be no negative environmental impacts if the Poverello center were to move to the Trail's End location on West Broadway. Director of the Missoula Office of Planning and Grants, Mike Barton explains the rest of the process that the center will have to undergo before the move.

As part of the process, the City of Missoula is currently taking public comment on the Poverello's move. If you would like to comment, you can do so by visiting  povcomments@co.missoula.mt.us, or send your comment by mail to Office of Planning & Grants, Attn: Poverello Comments, 435 Ryman St., Missoula, MT 59802. All comments should specify whether they are addressing the Finding of No Significant Impact or the Request for the Release of Funds. Responses will be taken into consideration as long as they are received before noon on March 19th.
