As people enjoyed this weekend it is important to remember what Memorial Day is all about. remembering those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

90th annual Memorial Day services in Missoula will start downtown at the VFW POST 209 headquarters, 245 W. Main St. at 9:30 a.m with a procession to follow.

According to the Missoulian the Procession will then proceed to the following sites for placement of wreaths and flowers: Caras Park Memorial; Missoula County Courthouse lawn; Fort Missoula Military Cemetery; Western Montana State Veterans Cemetery; Sunset Memorial Gardens, then it sounds like they will take a lunch break and have the retirement of flag; Missoula City Cemetery; St. Mary's Annex Cemetery; St. Mary's Cemetery Catholic Cemetery; Rose Memorial Garden Park; University of Montana, Iraq-Afghanistan Fallen Soldier Memorial (approximately 3:30 p.m.).
