A routine parole officer investigation of a Missoula resident lead to multiple drug charges on Tuesday, including a charge of intent to distribute. Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.

"At about 3:20 Missoula police officers were called to a residence in the 2000 block of Strand by probation officers who had located drugs and drug paraphernalia. Items of their search included marijuana and what appeared to be psilocybin mushrooms."

Welsh says the mushrooms alone were enough to result in felony charges for the suspect who was identified as 41-year old Christine Cole.

Cole faced three felony charges and was held on over $100,500 bond, but charges were dismissed within 48 hours.
