A Missoula woman, 32 year-old Carolynn Nina Roberts, has been taken into custody and is being charged with felony incest and misdemeanor unlawful restraint.

According to court records, Roberts allowed a male relative to sexually abuse a young girl under the age of 12 many times starting in January of 2010 through February of 2011. The documents also allege that Roberts held the victim down while the male relative abused the child, and also allegedly sexually abused the child herself.

Deputy Missoula County Attorney Patricia Bower says if convicted of the crime of incest, Roberts could be sentenced to a maximum of 100 years in prison, and must spend a minimum of 25 years of the sentence. She would not be eligible for parole.

Roberts was placed in the Missoula County Jail on $250,000 bond.
