Missoula Reaches Gold Level as Bike Friendly Community [AUDIO]

It’s official! Missoula is one of only 16 communities nationwide to achieve the Gold Level award as a Bicycle Friendly Community from the League of American Bicyclists. The award will be celebrated at this evening’s City Council meeting.
Bicycle coordinator for the City of Missoula Phil Smith says Missoula has been at the silver level for several years, but just recently attained gold level status. Smith says Missoula’s commitment to more bike lanes and bike-friendly areas brought about the award.
