The Missoula Police department is trying to discover the identity of an assailant reportedly involved in an attempted robbery on Friday, September 21, 2012 at approximately 7:15 p.m.

The victim, was threatened at gun point near Rose park, by a 5'9" white male with an "athletic build" (170-190 pounds). According to Detective Stacy Lear the assailant was wearing a black ski mask with only his eyes and mouth exposed. Lear says "the male pulled out a silver handgun and asked the victim to give him his belongings. When the victim refused the assailant ran away."

The assailant also wore a black hooded sweatshirt with pockets in the front, black sweatpants, and new-looking black sneakers with bright white laces. The assailant's eyes were strikingly blue, he also had brown stubble on his chin and was carrying a silver handgun.
