A married couple appeared in Missoula Justice Court on Tuesday, December 24, charged with felony theft, after being accused of breaking into several Missoula area storage units.

Stephen Michael-Allen Hurd, 30, was charged with felony burglary, felony theft and a misdemeanor charge of possession of burglary tools. His wife, Sheena Ann Flankey, 25, was also charged with felony theft.

Missoula police said some items have been recovered, including a Purple Heart medal, however, some wrapped Christmas presents that were reported missing were not recovered.

Sergeant Jim Klowitter with the police department said early Thursday morning, December 26, that the Missoula Police Protective Association took up a donation from the officers and replaced all the missing gifts, so that those who suffered losses from the storage unit thefts would have presents for Christmas.
