Missoula Man Stabbed – In Serious Condition [AUDIO]

Missoula police are investigating an early Friday morning stabbing incident that occurred in an apartment building at 300 East Broadway.

Detective Sergeant Travis Welsh said the man, 31, was found lying wounded in the hallway at about 4:30 a.m. Friday by one of the residents.

"The victim has apparently lived in the apartment building at one time," Welsh said. "He had gotten into a dispute with a woman, who he identified as his assailant."

Welsh said the man was transported to St. Patrick Hospital.

"It is believed at this time that his injuries are not life-threatening, but he is in serious condition," Welsh said. "We have identified and located the woman, the victim's girlfriend, who is a 27 year-old resident of Missoula, and she is being interviewed by detectives at this time, and the investigation is ongoing."

The woman could be charged with assault with a weapon.
