Missoula Man Denies Probation Violation In Sex Abuse Case
A former high school girls' basketball coach accused of arranging a sexual liaison with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl has denied violating his probation.
David Paisley, who coached at Missoula Hellgate, appeared in District Court on Wednesday for allegedly eating lunch at a Missoula park late last month. The 43-year-old wasn't allowed to be any place children gather, unless accompanied by someone approved by the court or his probation officer.
Paisley got a 10-year suspended sentence last month after entering an Alford Plea to sexual abuse of a minor, not admitting guilt but acknowledging there was enough evidence to convict him.
Prosecutors say he drove to a Missoula parking lot May 27, 2010, to meet a "girl," who turned out to be an undercover police detective.
