23 year-old Brian Moree was charged in Missoula Justice Court Wednesday afternoon with felony assault with a weapon, after allegedly pointing a loaded Ruger 357 magnum pistol at a neighbor, Carmen Heppler. According to court documents, Moree heard a man and woman arguing in an alley behind his home on South 12th Street on Tuesday. Moree allegedly jumped over the fence and confronted Heppler with the weapon, cocking it and pointing it at his head.

When Missoula Police officers arrived, they confiscated the handgun and confirmed it was loaded. Moree was charged with felony assault with a weapon and released on $5,000 bond. Deputy Missoula County Attorney Jordan Kilby says no one was injured in the incident.
