A 31-year-old man accused of slashing nearly 200 tires in Missoula over the span of about a month has been arrested.

Samson Jared Storm appeared in Justice Court on Monday, and his bail was set at $10,000.

Prosecutors say the Missoula man walked through the Slant Street and downtown areas flattening the tires of nearly 50 vehicles between Oct. 3 and Nov. 9 before a surveillance camera led to his arrest.

Investigators say Storm told them he slashed the tires because he wanted to get even with people he thought had been mean to him.

According to charging documents, he said he didn't know if the vandalized vehicles were owned by the people who had crossed him.
