The Missoula County Resource Advisory Committee recommended nine projects on Monday to fund efforts such as noxious weed control and trail maintenance to benefit public lands within the county.

The recently recommended projects include work for several noxious weed control and elimination efforts, both by Missoula County Weed District and the Lolo National Forest; a trail maintenance project in the Rattlesnake Wilderness by the Montana Conservation Corps; a joint effort between Defenders of Wildlife and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks for bear resistant containers for the Seeley-Swan area; trail maintenance for the Petty Mountain area of the Ninemile Ranger District; and education and outreach for the West Central Montana Avalanche Center.

The total funding allocated during the recent RAC decisions was $71,676.
