The following is the Missoula Construction Road Report for June 22, 2011 through June 29, 2011.

On I-90 west of St. Regis in the Drexel – Two Mile area between milepost 28 and milepost 30, expect two lane traffic and 45 mph speed limits for bridge construction.

Restrictions are as follows: 

East and west bound vehicles 16 feet wide and over will be piloted through the project from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday. 

Vehicle combinations over 100 feet in length will be piloted through the project from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.  The length restriction does not apply to triples.   

Oversized vehicles must be at the signed staging areas by 6:00 a.m.

Vehicle combinations over 100 feet in length will be piloted through the project from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.  The length restriction does not apply to triples.

 On I-90 in the Huson area (between milepost 84 and 86), project is inactive.

 On I-90 in the Frenchtown area (milepost 89 to milepost 94), project is inactive.

 On I-90, the project at the Clinton interchange is inactive.

 On I-90, east and west of the Bearmouth Interchange, project is inactive.

 On US-93, from two miles north of Woodside to one mile north of Victor, reconstruction road work is underway.  There is an eleven foot width restriction, a signed detour at Woodside and Bell Crossing, and 25 mph speed limits.  Expect rough roadway surfacing, traffic signals, single lane traffic, and short delays.

On US-93, from 1 mile north of Victor (milepost 60) to 3 miles north of Victor (milepost 62), project is inactive.

On US-93, 4.2 miles north of the DeSmet Interchange to Evaro, crews are working on the shoulders of the road.  Expect 45 mph speed limits and single lane closures.

On US-93, in Arlee, project is inactive.

On US-93, north of St. Ignatius from Red Horn Road to the Ninepipes Lodge, the maintenance project is inactive.

On Old US-10, west of Missoula at the intersection with Airway Boulevard, crews are installing a traffic signal.  Expect 35 mph speed limits and single lane closures.

On MT-135, at milepost 12 (the Clark Fork Bridge), project is inactive.

On MT-135, 20 miles northeast of St. Regis, rock scaling work is in progress.  Expect 20 minute delays, 35 mph speed limits, and flaggers.  Estimated hours of work are between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Secondary 269, 4 miles north of Hamilton to 8.5 miles north of Hamilton, crews are paving the roadway.  Expect 15 minute delays, 25 mph speed limits, single lane traffic, and fresh oil.

On Secondary 269, north & south of Bell Crossing Road (milepost 12.2 to milepost 18.7), the delineator PROJECT IS COMPLETE.

On Secondary 472 (Blue Side Road) near Thompson Falls, road reconstruction work is in progress.  Expect 35 mph speed limits, flaggers, and short delays.

Beginning Monday, June 27, 2011, in Missoula, at the intersection of Reserve Street and Mullan Road, crews will be upgrading the signals and signing.  Expect single lane closures and 35 mph speed limits.  Hours of operation will be from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Watch for workers in all construction areas and please obey all traffic signing.  Violating highway work zone signs can result in doubled fines.  Montana laws also set fines and jail sentences for reckless endangerment of highway workers.  Expect to see law enforcement around work areas.
