The snow's been falling down all of Friday afternoon, and with more snow in the forecast it can only mean one thing: big business for Missoula’s Open Road.

"The more snow that flies, the more that people come flying through the door," said Open Road co-owner Ryan Mrkich.

Mrkich says that the shop has been busy. "A lot of people are getting their skis waxed," said Mrkich.

Winter supplies have been out since the beginning of November.

In the shop you can see Nordic skis, poles, boots, hats and even snowshoes.

"People really like to be prepared when the snow is on the horizon," said Mrkich.

Mrkich says not all of the customers that come in have their own equipment, but that's OK because they can rent.

He reminds people that they need to stay safe by making sure they are dressed properly for these cold winter months.

"It can be pretty unpredictable out there, so make sure you are ready for cold," said Mrkich.

Some of the most popular places that Mrkich suggests hitting up are Pattee Canyon and Lolo Pass and, of course, make sure to have fun.

The business is open seven days a week.
