Missoula County High School officials have confirmed that Thursday night's varsity football game between Missoula Big Sky High School and C. M. Russell has been cancelled because of the heavy smoke in the Missoula valley.

Public Relations Director for the district Lesli Brasfield said officials are trying to reschedule the game, but the arrangements have not yet been made.

Brasfield says the sophomore football game, as well as two soccer matches have also been cancelled due to the smoke.

Brasfield advises parents and students to check the MCPS website for more information.
