Missoula Airport Shatters Passenger Record

The Missoula International Airport is reporting that 2014 was a banner year.

"It was about a 12.4 percent increase over 2013," said Missoula International Airport Deputy Director Brian Ellestad. "We had 667,000 passengers utilize both inbound and outbound [flights] from the airport."

In 2014, the Missoula International Airport outpaced its previous record from 2012 by over 62,000 passengers. According to Ellestad the main ingredient leading to the passenger growth was the addition of the "low cost" Frontier Airlines hub.
