What the Mission High School softball team accomplished over the weekend was truly spectacular.

Ok, so technically it's the softball co-op of Mission, Arlee and Charlo, but you get the idea.
The Bulldogs took down their opposition at the Western B-C Divisional Tournament, like, well, bulldogs.
Mission refused to quit in even the most dire of situations, and their perserverance paid off with a divisional championship and the West's #1 seed at the State Tournament later this week.
First, Mission took on Loyola in a semifinal game Friday night. The Breakers led 6-4 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, but Mission, down to their final out, rallied for three runs and the walk-off win, 7-6.
The next night, they faced the mighty Florence Falcons for the championship. Florence had only lost twice prior to the matchup, and again the Bulldogs were on the ropes. Mission trailed 6-1 in the top of the seventh, but again struck for 6 runs, 5 of which came with only one out remaining.
It will be interesting to see if Mission can continue this amazing ride into the State Tournament. Regardless, it has been a joy to watch this team this season.
