MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Missoula County officials say a juvenile is in custody on suspicion of pointing a pistol at the occupants of a vehicle and then firing a few shots in the air near Big Sky High School in Missoula.

The shooting was reported at about 11:30 p.m. Monday.

Sgt. Jeremiah Peterson says the boy faces felony charges of negligent endangerment and assault with a weapon that will be heard in Youth Court. No one was injured.

Authorities are not releasing the boy’s name because he is a minor.
