On a calm, clear night, the Omega Morgan transport of oil refinery equipment passed through Hamilton without incident and continued on its overnight run to a pullout south of Missoula.

The 19-feet tall, 349 feet long shipment slowed to maneuver under traffic lights at the town's intersections, but was through town in less than a half hour, surrounded by support vehicles and the Montana Highway Patrol. Crews had earlier adjusted lights at the intersections to allow the tall load the pass underneath.

The megaload is one of three scheduled to follow the same route from Oregon, through Idaho and over Lost Trail Pass into Montana. From Montana it will enter Canada.

Quite a few cars and trucks were parked alongside US 93 as residents watched the massive trailer move north on the highway.
