On Saturday, a then-questionable U.S. House of Representatives candidate Matt Rosendale made a life-changing decision. Looking to replace Congressman Steve Daines, Rosendale officially filed his candidacy to serve as the next member of Congress for Montana.

“Montana represents the best of what we as a family believe in: God, liberty, and an individual’s right to rule himself without the pressing hand of an intrusive government," Rosendale said. "There is the war going on for the heart and soul of our country. A war between the belief that government is best which governs most or the government espoused by President Reagan who taught that government is best which governs least and i will be a strong conservative voice for the people of Montana.”

Rosendale is currently serving his first term as a state senator from District 19 in Glendive.
