Missoula Police are trying to find two men suspected of hitting and robbing a man on the California Street footbridge. According to Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh, the attack occurred around 7:30 p.m on Tuesday, July 26.

"He was walking across the bridge when he stopped to speak with a male who engaged him and asked for money," Welsh said. "The man took out his wallet and was in process of giving the male something when he was struck from behind and knocked to the ground. He said when he got up he saw two males running in opposite directions."

The victim wasn't able to offer much description of the man that hit him from behind, but had a few details of the man who questioned him on the bridge.

"He described the male he was speaking with as being white, about 5'8" or 5'10" with blonde or strawberry hair and a goatee," Welsh said. "The man was wearing either blue or black colored jeans, but was wearing no shoes and no shirt."
