Man Convicted of Missoula Home Invasion Arrested for Probation Violation

Our news partners at NBC Montana-KECI-TV report that a former University of Montana football player, convicted for a home invasion in 2008, was arrested over the weekend for a probation violation.

Missoula police said Qwenton Freeman, 29, was pulled over for speeding just after 2 a.m. on Sunday. Freeman was arrested at the request of a probation officer.

The Missoula County Jail roster noted that Freeman was booked shortly after 3 a.m. and then released at about 10:30 a.m.

Freeman was one of eight men arrested in a November 2008 home invasion. Court documents said the suspects pistol whipped a man inside the home and then duct-taped him and a woman to chairs during the robbery.

In 2008, a judge sentenced Freeman to 10 years in prison with five suspended for felony robbery and aggravated burglary.

Now, Freeman will have to answer for the alleged probation violation. The suspended portion of his sentence could be revoked, meaning Freeman could end up doing prison time.
