A Montana man was arrested Saturday night after allegedly brandishing a pistol and threatening a family in an apparent road rage incident near Lolo. According to Missoula Sheriff's deputies, 40-year old Brian Parini was apprehended and charged with assault with a weapon.

Deputies say that a family had been driving on Highway 93 between Lolo and Missoula when a car in front of them began driving erratically. The family reportedly tried to pass, and the other car almost hit them.

Authorities say Parini, the alleged driver of that vehicle, lifted a holstered pistol and said profanity to the family near Blue Mountain Road in Missoula.  Parini was taken into custody soon after.
