The recent fires in Lolo caused many people to have to evacuate their homes and live their lives differently in general. Lolo Creek Steakhouse was no exception. The restaurant known for its rugged decor and impressive grill (as well as the steaks that come off of it), was forced to shut its doors for a week while the fires were at their worst. Now that the fires are well on their way to being contained, Lolo Creek Steakhouse is reopening! To celebrate their return, we are giving away a $50 gift certificate and tickets to the sold out Griz football home opener against Appalachian State on Saturday, Aug. 31.

Lolo Creek Steakhouse owner Mike Grunow appreciates all of the hard work all of the volunteers and firefighters have put in to containing the fires and is excited to be back open again.

"They've really put forth a tremendous effort, and we are so thankful to all of them," Grunow said. "We are looking forward to serving all of the firefighters and helicopter pilots who have helped to get us back open."

The steakhouse is obviously important to Grunow, but so is Griz football. He originally came to Missoula as a Montana Grizzlies football recruit in 1965 from the Detroit area.

So in honor of this Lolo staple, and its owner, enter to win this prize pack -- Does it get any better around here than a steak dinner and Griz football? We don't think so either!

You have until noon Friday, Aug. 30 to get entered in the drawing.
