Lightning Caused Fires Break Out In Bitterroot Forest
Last Thursday night’s lightning storms sparked at least three new wildfires in the Bitterroot National Forest. Public Information officer Todd McKay has details of the fires and their locations. My interview with McKay is attached.
McKay says grasses and brush are drying out with the hot weather, creating a greater danger for both lightning and man-caused wildfires this summer and fall.
