Keystone XL Pipeline Could Raise Montana Gas Prices

Many of the arguments in support of the Keystone XL pipeline center on economic development. One important factor to Montanans that is often overlooked is the effect on the local price of gas if the pipeline were to be approved. Petroleum analyst Patrick Dehaan explains what he thinks would happen.

With President Obama’s recent rejection of TransCanada’s proposed pipeline, however, the Keystone XL pipeline is unlikely to effect local gas prices anytime soon.
