KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) — A northwestern Montana priest has pleaded not guilty to sexual abuse of children.

The Flathead Beacon reports the Rev. Rudolph Carl Bullman entered his plea Thursday before District Judge Ted O. Lympus in Kalispell. His trial was set for October.

Flathead County Attorney Ed Corrigan says the investigation into Bullman began last October, when a woman who purchased a game console from Bullman found it contained photos of nude boys. Prosecutors say a search of Bullman's computer turned up sexually explicit images of boys between the ages of 12 and18.

Bullman is a former Libby millworker who was ordained as a Roman Catholic priest in 2000.

The Diocese of Helena says Bullman was placed on administrative leave from the Risen Christ Parish in Kalispell on Dec. 16, when the diocese learned he was under investigation.
