Tuesday afternoon, University of Montana President Royce Engstrom confirmed that Montana Grizzly quarterback Jordan Johnson is enrolled for fall classes and is still a member of the football team.

Internet chat rooms have been buzzing all weekend over rumors that Johnson had been expelled and may be looking for another school to play for. Johnson has been under a cloud for several months after a woman filed a temporary restraining order against him. Johnson and the woman now have a civil no-contact order between them. No criminal charges have ever been filed against Johnson, who led the Grizzlies to an 11-3 record and the FCS quarterfinals last season. Comments from President Engstrom are attached.
