HELENA, Mont. (AP) — A Helena teen has denied a Youth Court charge of criminal endangerment in the Easter Sunday death of a pedestrian.

The Independent Record reports the woman, who was 17 at the time, denied the juvenile delinquency petition Wednesday.

Judge Kathy Seeley scheduled a July 30 trial.

The teen is charged with hitting Mark A. Strikas and fleeing the scene. Strikas also was struck by two other vehicles.

Another man, 51-year-old Mark A. Lee suffered serious injuries, including two broken legs and a broken pelvis, when he was hit at the same time as Strikas.

Detectives connected the teen to the crash after reviewing surveillance footage that captured the hit-and-run.
