In a commanding display of offense and defense, the Hamilton Broncs defeated the Columbia Falls Wildcats Saturday 41-27 in a semi-final State Class A football game in Columbia Falls. The November 10th win places Hamilton into the Championship matchup against Billings Central. The battle between the two undefeated teams will be played on the newly opened Hamilton High School football field - the second game to be played on the new SprintTurf surface.

In Columbia Falls, the Broncs scored first, but the Wildcats came right back with a 69-yard dash to the end zone to tie the score in the first quarter 7 to 7. But Hamilton's offense got comfortable and stayed on the field for the majority of the game, scoring two more times in the second quarter, which left the score at 21-7 at the half. In the decisive second half, the Broncs and the Wildcats each scored three times, with Hamilton winning the game 41 to 27. Next Saturday, November 17, at 1 p.m. Hamilton meets Billings Central and KLYQ will have live play-by-play on 1240 AM Radio, klyq.com, on your smart speaker at home and on your cellphone with the free, newly designed KLYQ app. It has new local news stories every day.
