Inside Dahlberg Arena, the University of Montana men's basketball team was pushed to the brink by NAIA Great Falls.

When the dust had settled, though, the Griz escaped with a 60-59 win over the Argonauts.

UGF trailed by 16 points with 15 minutes to play, but quickly caught fire to storm back. A buzzer-beater fell short, though, and Montana had a one-point victory.

Montana's starting backcourt of Will Cherry and Kareem Jamar each finished with double figures in the scoring column. Jamar had 14, while Cherry chipped in 11.

UM (1-1) will take to the floor once again on Thursday night when they host the Idaho Vandals at 7:00.
