University of Montana head men's basketball coach Wayne Tinkle landed another recruiting gem yesterday.

Keron DeShields, a 6'2" combo guard from Baltimore, recently finished his senior season at Vermont Academy in Saxtons River, Vermont.

He averaged a team-high 20 points a game and was a second team all-conference selection.

DeShields becomes the third member of UM's 2011 recruiting class. He joins 6'2" guard Jordan Gregory from Pueblo East High School (Colo.) and 6'4" guard/forward Kevin Henderson from Auburn High School (Wash.)

Grizzly head coach Wayne Tinkle says, "We really feel like we have great potential in our backcourt for the coming years. All three players have the ability to score inside and out, as well as the ability to defend their position.”
