Our congratulations to the "man with one hand" today, Montana Grizzly standout Justin Strong.

The Griz senior safety is this week's NCAA FCS National Defensive Player of the Week, the STATS FCS National Defensive Player of the Week and the ROOT SPORTS Big Sky Conference defensive player of the week for his memorable performance in Saturday's 45-33 win over Portland State. Playing with one hand heavily taped in a cast to protect a damaged thumb, Justin grabbed three pass interceptions, returning one of them for a touchdown. He also had four tackles and intercepted another pass on a Portland State two-point conversion attempt.

Eastern Washington quarterback Gage Gubrud was the Big Sky offensive POW and the special teams honor went to Northern Arizona's Elijah Marks. The Griz stay on the road one more week, traveling to Pocatello to go after Idaho State. Scott Gurnsey and I will be on the air at 12:30 for the pregame show, kickoff at 2:30 on the big flagship station, KGVO in Missoula and KLYQ in Hamilton. Scores and highlights to follow after the game.

Keep it goin' Griz!   DB
