Saturday night in Flagstaff, the Montana Grizzlies rallied back for the second consecutive week and held off Northern Arizona 28-24.

The Lumberjacks struck quickly, leading 14-0 with just five minutes gone by in the game. After those initial scores, though, the Grizzly defense settled down.

Senior defensive tackle Bryan Waldhauser led the way with 10 tackles, and the game-winning sack of NAU quarterback Cary Grossart with just over a minute to play.

With the win, the Griz improved to 4-1 in the Big Sky Conference. The Montana State Bobcats are still in first at 5-0, while Weber State, Montana's next opponent, are just a half-game behind the Griz at 3-1.

The Griz and Wildcats tangle inside Washington-Grizzly Stadium next Saturday at 1:00 PM. The Karl Tyler Chevrolet Tailgate Show begins at 11:00 AM on 1290 KGVO.
