The University of Montana has been selected to open the 2015 football season on ESPN. It was announced today (Thursday November 20) that the second annual ESPN FCS Kickoff will feature the Griz hosting North Dakota State on Saturday, August 29, in the first Division I college game of the year. The NCAA granted UM and NDSU waivers to play five days before the official start of 2015 season on September 3. The game was originally scheduled for September 5, but the lure of being the only college football game in the nation is pretty hard to resist.

I have to believe it will be summer football under the lights, but I'm not sure if an official start time has been announced yet. Pretty exciting stuff, Griz fans!!!!!
