Finally! Good reasons to start talking about the upcoming University of Montana football season! It gets a little quiet this time of year, doesn't it? But big news has come out of the Big Sky Conference's annual kickoff event in Park City, Utah.

Montana senior defensive end Caleb Kidder has been named the Big Sky Conference preseason Defensive Player of the Year, and senior safety Yamen Sanders has earned All-Big Sky preseason honors, joining the pantheon of other Montana Big Sky Players of the Year Zack Zack Wagenmann (2014) and Jordan Tripp (2013).

So, that's the good news. If Griz fans need a little fuel to pour on  the fire: Was Montana disrespected by only having two players named to the All-Conference Team? Southern Utah had five! Weber State and Northern Arizona had four each, and Portland State and them naughty Bobcats three apiece. Hmmmmmmmmm.

We'll kick it off Labor Day weekend, Griz fans...can't wait!   DB
