A University of Montana and University of Montana law graduate has recently been appointed to replace Missoula Judge McLean in Fourth Judicial Court.

Governor Steve Bullock appointed Missoula's Leslie Halligan who is currently serving as Standing Master in Fourth District Court.

Halligan also serves as Adjunct Professor at UM School of Law in Child Advocacy Law.

Bullock has also named a new parole board chairman after the previous one resigned in December due to complaints about how the board operated.

Bullock's office announced the appointment of Helena attorney Mark Staples to lead the state Board of Pardons and Parole yesterday.
