Two golden eagles are dead from poisoning in Bear Creek, which is off the Fish Creek drainage west of Alberton.

The Montana Department of Fish Wildlife and Parks sent the remains to the Bozeman state lab, where the cause of death was determined to be poison.

The state and federal officials are looking for information about the illegal poisoning of the birds and callers can remain anonymous with any tips.

Call the US Fish and Wildlife Service at 1-406-329-3000. Or you can use the TIP-MONT hotline at 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668.) A reward could be available for information leading to an arrest.
