The city of Glasgow up on Montana's highline is gearing up for growth due to the nearby Bakken oil fields. Already, towns like Sidney, Montana and others in North Dakota have grown by thousands in just a few months. I spoke Wednesday afternoon with Glasgow Mayor Dan Carney about the town's sudden growth. That interview is attached.

Carney says Glasgow has seen times of boom and bust over the years, but he sees the Bakken oil boom as lasting for 20 years or more. He says some residents are resisting the growth, while most others, mostly business people, are welcoming the new revenue.
