Black smoke billowed into the air above the Franklin to the Fort neighborhood in Missoula around noon today, Aug. 13. The source was a garage that had caught on fire on Clark Street in the 3,000 block.Brent Gyuricza was driving on Clark Street as the garage caught flame and placed a call to 911.

"It was just a bunch of black smoke," Gyuricza said. "A lady from next door came running outside shouting 'my garage is on fire.' We got the cars out of the garage and once the fire department got here they got it put out pretty quick."

There were no reported injuries. Although an electrical pole was shrouded, the fire did not appear to spread to any nearby buildings.
