A 39-year-old man accused of a stabbing a man outside a Gallatin Gateway bar has pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault. Mark Paul Logan appeared Wednesday at a hearing in Gallatin County District Court, where Judge John Brown left Logan's bail at $100,000.

Authorities say Logan stabbed a 32-year-old man six times with a hunting knife in the Oct. 23 attack. The victim suffered a life-threatening injury to one of his lungs. Logan was arrested at a Laundromat in White Sulphur Springs about three weeks later. He is being held in Gallatin County jail. Logan was convicted of second-degree manslaughter for the stabbing death of a co-worker in Paducah, Ky., in 1998.
